The insulated Kirtipur Sweater, which won a Gold award at ISPO, is a mesh of handcrafts and new fabric technology. The 100 percent lambswool sweater is handcrafted by women from a small village near Kathmandu, Nepal, where it takes 7 days to handcraft and assemble one sweater. It's lined with PrimaLoft® Black Insulation Eco, a synthetic insulation that offers warmth, softness, and lightweight comfort and contains 60%-post consumer recycled material.
This sweater is amazing!!!!! The quality of this sweater is remarkable. Sizing is perfect . There is no need to size up or down. The sweater is true to size. If you have been considering the sweater... stop, and just order it!!! You won’t regret it. I live in the west and the sweater is perfect for cool nights and light snow days. I would totally buy this sweater again!!!
I have worn this every day since purchasing AND my coworker bought one after trying mine on!
This sweater is absolutely beautiful. As another reviewer said, the craftsmanship is off the charts for quality. It's comfortable and extremely warm. It is so well made. I love the way the inside of the sleeves is a smooth fabric, so it slides on and off easily. When I zip up the neck, it is snug but it doesn't choke me. The fit of the sweater is perfect. So is the torso and sleeve length. There is so much attention to the little details that make this sweater extra nice. The inside is a really soft fabric. There's an inner roomy zippered chest pocket that I appreciate. The design of the sweater with all its layers and fabrics is so much more intricate than I expected or than I've ever seen in any other garment. It's worth the money. Clearly that much work went into it. I do wish it was washable - it's dry clean only. The only other things that I think would improve the sweater would be to make the hand pockets zippered please so belongings can be secured. And I'd really like it if the hood was detachable so I could wear a coat over the sweater in wet or extremely cold weather. The hood is super warm but it's too bulky to maneuver with a jacket. I did have to tie knots in the hood drawstrings because it slipped out in the first wearing and it took a really long time to get it back in.
I'm using it as a coat. It fits and looks great. Very warm but not too warm...it seems to breathe really well. 5'8 145 women's medium fits perfectly. I love the weight of it. I get compliments every time I wear it.
Love this sweater, very high quality
