From the size guide I bought large but had to swap to medium because the waist band was too loose and there's not a tie to tighten them. I have fairly chunky legs and defined waist but not super pear shaped

Substantial but flexible and comfortable. Look attractive. Zipped pockets on legs are useful. In UK, I'd say too warm for summer. Good for Spring and Autumn, layer up with a pair of Merinos on colder Winter days.
