Soft Shell
CHOOSE A SOFT SHELL AS YOUR OUTERMOST LAYER FOR ALL BUT THE WETTEST CONDITIONS. Aptly named, they are soft and stretchy, not crunchy or stiff – so they bend where you bend, and stretch when you stretch – which makes for more comfort when you’re on the move. They’re also more breathable than traditional hard shells, which means you can go longer and farther before changing-up your layering system.
The Nisha gives you the best of all worlds: Four-way stretch fabric on the outside, soft polyester fleece on the inside, and a breathable, wind- and water-repellent membrane sandwiched in between.
If you'd like to own a basic yet versatile soft shell you can pull out in iffy conditions – that's the Tseten. Its grid fleece inner facing traps warm air when you're at rest, and pushes it on through when you’re moving fast.
Some climb ice because it's there; others to prove something to themselves. No matter your reason, wear these water repellent/breathable pants. The fabric has 4-way stretch, so your moves will be effortless.
Want spectacular views of Everest? Go to the top of Kala Pathar. And don’t forget to wear these pants: It can get chilly and windy up there.
